This beautiful mechanical 17 jewel, wind-up pocket watch with chain as shown in the photo never needs batteries. Lifting the crown permits the minute and hour hands to be set to the correct time. In the down(normal)position, the crown turns to wind the mainspring and keep the watch running. The unique see-through front and rear crystals designed as part of the case, permits observation of the entire movement and back and forth motion of the balance wheel as time ticks on. This great timepiece is similar to those watches that were manufactured in the late 1700′s and early 1800′s.
